At 3D masters this year a crash happened that could have had huge consequences, one of the pilots broke the tail in flight, while flying inverted, the mistake he made was trying to save the helicopter, the helicopter started to fly over the audience area and the pilot finally killed the engine. This proves that even professionals can make mistakes.

Note to self: Kill engine immediately after something is broken in flight.

Krunder from Krunder Aerospace Denmark had a change to show the crowed his self designed 50/50 helicopter, a helicopter with two 50 engines.

Okay the final results after a long wait in the rain, we finally got to the results, I will let the pictures speak for them self. But Nick was the overall winner

Right now the competition has stopped, because of the rain, we are waiting for the results and the victory flights, and the victory flight is the only thing keeping me.

Now we are waiting for the final flight

Getting ready to go for the final flights at Sunday, but Saturday ended well, with a lot of night flyings, a part from the fact that we had to way over an hour to see any flight, the night flights has good, a big problem I know :).

Check out the first picture, one of the pilots was a night flight pilot with lights an all :) after that one heli exploded in air and felt to the ground and starting to go up in smoke with fireworks coming out of it, got the crowd going :)

Now we are waiting for the night flight, and just before the night flight two high speed helis crashed in air, one kept flying, And the other crashed about 200 meters down the field because of the high speed.

Krunder was just about to get his 50/50 helicopter in the air, but it could not start because of technical issues with one of the engines.

But at last that was fixed.

Just arrived at the 3D masters, with a short stop in Germany, funny story my wife picked the hotel in Germany and on the opposite corner of the hotel a model shop :) check the picture.

Right now we are waiting for better weather to see some more flights, some pictures for you while we wait. I saw Tom-Erik first flight it was not impressed :( I am sure he is going for a better flight tomorrow.

I am starting to get ready to go to 3D Masters, packing the car charging the batteries for the cameras. I really can’t wait I am sure it is going to be great, I am planning on make some statistics of the amount of nitro and electric helicopter this weekend, just for the fun of it.

Back from Helibatic and in front of a real computer, I have just uploaded a few pictures from Helibatic, just to get you in the mood. I am not competing at Helibatic this year, sorry to say the other guys seemed like they where having a good time like always. But no I didn’t get the change to practice for the competition this year. But I did get some flights in today and the frenzy was kicking.

I got the chance to say high to Benjamin today, I meet him for the first time at PB Smackdown, he has only been flying for about a year, but dame this guy is good. Check out his video I made at Pitchbrother Smackdown 2010, I little late I know.
