Well I just got the sweet deal signed with JS Model or Chengdu Jingshi R/C Model Development Co., Ltd. as a new team pilot for JS model, Yes I am a team pilot for JS model NOW.
It is a completely new team JS are starting to get a more international market, and make the models even better and more used in the RC Helicopter industry. I think this can be a great step for JS i am expecting big things for this new team.
I am traveling to the JS factory next month for an introduction to the JS team and the other team pilots, more about the other team pilots later. It is a long trip that is for sure Check out the factory here.
But for now I am very happy that I got the chance to get even more involved in the RC Helicopter industry, and contribute even more to this great hobby and sport.
Now i got the time and the flights to complete the review of the Frenzy 90 TT, the new and improved Frenzy.
To summarize the conclusion :
A good helicopter for the price, i don’t really understand the higher price on the TT version, but it is still a good priced model.
Yes that is it, it has some small issues, some of them you can fix with a hex and some you have to work a little harder to fix, but for the average pilot this helicopter is a great beginner and advanced helicopter. And please remember that you have to do small fixes with a high priced helicopter on the marked to.
But what i really like on the Frenzy is you can get easy access to the engine and clutch AND I LIKE THE PRICE.
This is a model most of you pilots would be very happy with, i am sure.
And that is before a even got the review done man it is not really my year, i have had more accidence this year than i have had the last 3 years ! why oh why!
The reason why i crashed was the new servos, it is metal servos, note to self, lock-tit on metal ! one servo horn came off in flight.
I was a minor crash but it is still ground time for me :) the new engine OS 91HZ-R seems to have massive power and i am only in the burn in phase. can’t wait to get this heli ready for the summer, and i CAN’T wait for the summer!
I was at the field today and finally the flight went as planed, i had some engine tuning issues last time, but with a reset of the needles that problem was slowed, i set the needles at 2 turns out, both needles.
And the the flight was on, my Idl 1 is set to 1550 Rpm and my Idl 2 i set to 1750 Rpm, i was manly flying in Idl 1 today, it is amazing what stuns you can pull with 1550 Rpm’s on the head, tic-toc i no problem. The model was flying perfect, i still need to fine tune my gyro, i have slow tail wage when i do fast pitch input, the Spartan Gyro is working great and i esspecialy like the fact that the piro-rate is constant and the tail is rock-solid.
This is a mix of two small videos i have made, with the camera laying on a table, there was no others then me at the field today :( sorry.
Scroll down to see some more pictures of the new canopy, the colors are great i can easily see the model in the air.
The new fashion a painted canopy, yes you need a painted canopy that is the new thing, but every body can get mass produced painted canopy’s, but get you own design it is not for everybody. But i found the guys to make a custom painted canopy for me, with my logo on. this is the sketch that started the custom painted canopy.
My JS Frenzy 90 is really ready for flying this weekend. And the final result:
Now for the creators, if you would like a custom painted canopy, those guys can help Rex Mundi Industries and you can get a tattoo while you wait :)
